This crystal dresser jar was produced in Belgium in the early 20th century. It is not signed but we believe it was made by Val St. Lambert. We have seen this pattern before. The jar measures 3 3/8 inches in diameter and 2 1/8 inches high. The crystal is hand blown and cut with panels and star bursts. The lid has floral decorations that are acid etched from green to clear. The workmanship is very fine and detailed. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany, especially for Charles Ahrenfeldt and exported with the name Saxonia. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/4 inches and the cup is 2 1/8 inches high. The porcelain has designs molded into it. There is a scene on the front of the cup of lovers in a garden. It is surrounded by ornate gilding. There are numerous sprigs of flowers strewn about on both pieces. There are lovely gilded accents and trim. Condition: The bottom of the saucer has a small hairline craze that does not go through to the other side.

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Wehsener Dresden in the late 19th century. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/2 inches and the cup is 2 1/8 inches high. The porcelain has an egg shell, translucent quality. The set is hand decorated with large sprays of colorful flowers. Little sprigs of flowers dot the surface of the porcelain. Fancy gilding trims the edges of each piece. Condition: Excellent

This glass and sterling dish was produced in the United States by the Cambridge Glass Mfg. Co. before 1950. It has a diameter of 6 1/2 inches and is 2 1/4 inches deep. The glass is acid etched with a floral pattern called “Chantilly.” The dish is divided into three sections. It has a heavy sterling silver base. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain place card holder was produced in Italy by Capodimonte in the late 19th century. It is 3 3/4 inches high and 2 1/2 inches wide. The back is molded like branches into a tripod. The front has naked putti in high relief, making mischief. They are hand painted. Condition: Excellent

These 8 porcelain chocolate cups and saucer were produced in France at Sevres around 1810. The saucers have a diameter of 4 7/8 “ and are 1 ½” deep. The cup are 2 7/8” high,without the handle, and have a diameter of 3 1/8”. Each cup has a hand painted portrait of a famous French woman, named on the bottom. They have tooled gold frames and lacy gold accents around the edges. The center of the saucers have lacy gold medallions in the wells.There are 4 blue and 4 beige cups and saucers. It is unusual to find a set of matching cups and saucers in recent times. Condition Excellent

This porcelain service was produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufacturer in 1918. They are marked with the red orb, blue scepter and iron cross markings. The pattern is known as Neuzierat. There are a total of 43 pieces. The set consists of an oval serving tray, coffee pot with lid, tea pot with lid, sugar bowl with lid, cream pitcher, and 12 sets of cups, saucers and dessert plates. All pieces are hand painted with sprays of vibrantly colored garden variety flowers. There is elaborate raised gilding and additional gilding inside the rims of the cups. This pattern is no longer produced by KPM. It is difficult to find an entire matching service. This is a remarkable offering of superb quality. Condition: The service is first quality. The cream pitcher has minor chips on the spout. There are no other defects, no evidence of use, or restoration.

These 6 porcelain tea cups and saucers were produced in Germany by Meissen around 1890. The saucers are 5 ¼” in diameter and ¾” deep. The cups are 1 ¾” high and 3 ¼” In diameter. The porcelain is molded in high relief. Intricate gilding highlights the raised designs. There are reserves with hand painted flowers of vivid colors and fine detail. Tiny insects can be found among the flowers. The handle and rims are trimmed with gold. The quality of these cups and saucers is incomparable. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in Berlin, Germany by the Royal Porcelain Manufacturer, known as KPM, in the 1890s. It has the under glaze blue scepter and over glaze red orb with the letters KPM. The saucer has a diameter of 5 inches and is 1 1/8 inches deep. The cup is 2 1/8 inches high with a diameter of 2 3/4 inches. The hard paste porcelain is of the finest quality ever produced. The ground color is deep cobalt blue. The front of the cup has a hand painted portrait of a “bonnet girl” often pictured during the art nouveau era. Framing the portrait is a cartouche of ornate raised gilding. There is elaborate hand gilding around both pieces. A border of gold filigree trims the inside rim of the cup. The gold trimmed handle is shaped like a split twig. This cup and saucer is one of the finest examples KPM produced. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced at Meissen around 1800. It has the first quality under glaze blue crossed swords with a star under it. The saucer is 5 3/8 inches in diameter and is 1 1/4 inches deep. The cup is 2 3/4 inches tall with a diameter of 2 1/2 inches. the ground color is cobalt blue. The cup has a reserve with a portrait of Abelard and the saucer has a portrait of Heloise. There was a story of two lovers in 12th century France, Heloise and Abelard, who were denied permission to marry. They eloped and married against her father’s wishes. Heloise was beaten by her father and sent to live in a convent the rest of her life. It is a sad story portrayed in literature and art. Here is Meissen’s interpretation of the lovers’ tale of woe on porcelain. The exquisite portraits of the man and woman are framed in embossed gold. There are other gold accents and gold trim. This is a true artistic treasure. Condition: Light wear to gilding on rim of cup.

This set of 10 porcelain soup cups and saucer was produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1925. The date ciphers on the bottom indicate that year. They were made especially for the retailer Marshall Field of Chicago. All of the pieces are artist signed by renowned Worcester painters. Two of them are E. Phillips and A. Freeman. The saucers have a diameter of 5 3/4 inches and the cups are 2 inches high not counting the handles. The interiors of the cups and wells of the saucers have reserves with realistic, brightly colored flowers. The borders, which are 1 1/2 inches wide, are a deep crimson red. They are overlaid with elaborate gilding. These bouillon cups and saucers are elegant and would be wonderful for display. Condition: Excellent

This soft paste porcelain covered cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Hochst in 1775. The saucer has a diameter of 6 1/2 inches and the cup is 6 inches high. The saucer has a deep well for the cup to fit into so that it does not slide off. This was called a "trembleuse" by the French. The set is decorated in the most opulent fashion. The style and decoration are taken from the French Sevres factory. The scrolled borders are accented with raised gilding. There are applied fruits and leaves on the lid and on each side of the handle. The front of the cup has a landscape with figures dressed in 18th century costumes. It is beautifully hand painted with bright colors. Condition: The cup has a chip on the rim near the handle. It is towards the back of the cup. The leaves on the top of the lid are slightly rough. Gilding on the rim of the saucer is worn. Flaws such as these are part of the life story of a 200 year old cup and saucer. It is a wonder that such a rare, fragile item has survived at all.

This porcelain chocolate cup and saucer was produced in France in the late 19th century. The blank was manufactured by Tressemann and Vogt Limoges and the decoration was done by an unknown decorator using a spurious Sevres marking. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/4 inches and the cup is 3 1/4 inches high without the handle. The ground color is deep cobalt blue. The cup features a figural handle in the shape of a peacock. There is a reserve on the front of the cup containing a hand painted scene of lovers in a garden landscape. It is beautifully painted in vibrant colors. The scene is framed in elaborate raised gilding. There are gilded accents and trim on both pieces. The inside of the cup is peach colored. This is a magnificent antique cup and saucer for display. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain chocolate cup and saucer was produced in Germany by the Richard Klemm Dresden Studio in the 1890s. The saucer measures 6 inches in diameter and the cup is 4 inches high. The cup has a pedestal base and the saucer is contoured with a raised well in the center. The saucer is a platform for the cup. The ground color is blue green. There are tiny pink rose garlands around the saucer and cup. The front of the cup has a reserve containing a portrait of Queen Louise of Prussia who lived in the 1700s. There is a shiny gold frame around the portrait. The green ground is accented with raised gilding giving texture to those areas. I have heard this treatment referred to as “tree bark”. The rims and handle are all heavily gilded. The workmanship is very similar to pieces from Royal Vienna. Condition : Excellent

This porcelain chocolate pot was produced in the US by Willets Belleek in the 1880s. This is a factory decorated piece. The pot measures 9 3/4” high and is 5 1/2” from handle to spout. The handle is shaped like a dragon that wraps around the pot. The body of the pot has a creamy ivory hue. It is hand painted with two colored gold. Some of it is shiny and some of it is matte finish. Ferns, leaves and blooms are painted with raised enamels you can feel. The decoration is refined, executed by master artisans at Willets. It has similarities to pieces done by Royal Worcester around the same period. Even the spout is a face or mask of a bearded man. This chocolate pot is quite unique, a one of a kind piece. This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by a Dresden decorator. We believe that it was made by Donath Dresden because it is marked in red and the coloring and style are similar to others we have had. There is an artist’s signature in the lower right corner of the portrait which may be Wagner. The cup is marked Madame Montesson, wife of King Louis the XV. The saucer is 4 inches in diameter. The cup is 1 7/8 inches tall with a diameter of 1 7/8 inches. The cup is can shaped and the form is simple. The front of the cup has a reserve with the hand painted portrait of this beauty from the 18th century. The portrait is hand painted with fine detail and rich coloring. It is surrounded with a shiny, beaded and raised gold frame. The body of the cup and saucer are colored with an iridescent paint that shades from deep green to purple, depending on the light. The sides of the cup are elaborately gilded with raised and beaded gilding. The saucer has beaded gold trim and a gilded medallion the center of the well. Even the bottom of the saucer has gilded accents. This is a demitasse cup and saucer of the finest quality, done in the Royal Vienna tradition, that is a true work of art. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain chocolate cup and saucer was produced in Germany by the Ambrosius Lamm Dresden Studio in the 1880s. The saucer is 5 3/8 inches in diameter. The cup is 3 1/4 inches tall without the handle. The cup features an empire style handle that sweeps up over the rim. The ground color is magenta red. There is a large reserve on the front of the cup containing a hand painted scene. An elegant 18th century couple are strolling in a garden landscape. The painting is detailed and colorful. A cartouche of elaborate gilding frames the scene. Borders of raised and beaded gilding accent both pieces. The handle and rims are trimmed with gold. Condition: Slight wear to gilding in well of saucer where cup sits. There are no other issues.

These 6 porcelain plates were produced in England by Coalport in 1818. There are no markings on any of these plates but the pattern with the embossed design is documented to have come from Coalport. The plates measure 7 1/2 inches in diameter. They are made of fine, hard paste porcelain. The plates have embossed floral decoration in high relief. These flowers are outlined with gold. The border is cobalt blue. There are reserves with colorful hand painted flowers framed with fancy gold trim. There is a lovely bouquet of flowers in the center of each plate, all of them different. Gold accents are found throughout the decoration and there is a dentil gold trim on the rims. Condition: There is very minor wear to some of the gilding, mostly to the trim on the rims of these plates. You have to look hard to find it. As these plates are nearly 200 years old it is lovely find them in quite excellent condition.
