This pair of porcelain goblets was produced in Germany by Nymphenburg between 1850 and 1862. They measure 6 7/8 inches high and have a diameter of 2.75 inches. They are decorated with portraits of persons of royalty to commemorate their engagement or marriage. The portraits are executed with photographic detail. Each goblet has elaborate gilding surrounding the portraits, around the foot of the goblet and on the back. They are of historical significance and beautiful examples of Nymphenburg’s work. A possibility for the identity of this couple we found are Elisabeth d’Autriche Austria-Sissi and Franz Joseph. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain basket was produced in Germany by Nymphenburg in the late 19th century. It is marked with an under glaze cobalt blue crown and shield. The basket measures 9 1/4 inches across the handles, 6 1/2 inches wide and is 2 3/4 inches deep. It features entwined handles and delicate reticulation. The interior of the basket is beautifully hand painted with colorful flowers. All of the reticulation is outlined in gold inside and out. It is a sweet and fragile reminder of by-gone eras.

The cup measures 3 1/2 inches high and the saucer has a diameter of 5 1/8 inches. The front of the cup features a detailed hand painted view of a location in Germany. A castle can be seen in the background. The scene is unnamed. These topographical porcelains document the place in time as it was in 1815. Condition: The cup has a significant chip to the side rim. There is wear to the gold bands of both pieces. One must consider the rarity of these items since many were lost over the course of wars and time.

The rim of the saucer and the foot of the cup are reticulated. The set has a wine colored ground color with reserves of gilded urns filled with colorful flowers. The hand painting and raised gilding has fine detail. The rims and handle are trimmed with gold. The set is quite Victorian with a European feel. Condition: There are 2 gold dots missing on cup.

It is 9 1/2 inches tall with a diameter of 3 inches. The porcelain is fine quality with molded details in high relief. There is a medallion in the center of the ewer with a portrait of a young woman. It is framed in elaborate art nouveau style gilding. The gilding is raised and accented with colored enamel beads or jewels. The back of the ewer is also decorated with gilding. The cream pitcher is 4 inches high and 3 inches from the spout to the handle. The sugar bowl with lid is 3 ½ inches high and has a diameter of 3 ¼ inches. The 3 pieces all have little feet. They are entirely hand painted and hand gilded. The scenes with cherubs are all artist signed. There is opulent raised gilding and raised enamel beaded accents on all of the pieces. This covered jar was produced in Germany by Wolfsohn Dresden before 1890. It has a diameter of 3 1/2 inches and is 2 3/4 inches high. The jar is ornately painted in Meissen or Vienna style. There is a scene with a horse and rider hand painted on the lid, which is rather unusual subject matter for Dresden painting. This reserve is surrounded with intricate gilding. The sides of the jar have panels of rose colored fish scale painting alternating with fancy gilded panels. There are also swags of flowers surrounding both pieces. The decorations all match up from top to bottom. This jar is a work of art. It is in excellent condition.
