The hand blown crystal is emerald green. It is decorated with elaborate silver overlay. There are large poppies on four sides, surrounded by flowing foliage in the loveliest art nouveau fashion. This decoration is finely engraved. There are wide bands of silver on the rim and near the middle. The stem and foot are entirely covered with silver. Condition: Excellent

This glass bowl was produced in the U.S. by Steuben before 1920. It has a diameter of 9 3/4 inches and is 2 inches high. There is no signature but the wide polished pontil and the quality of the glass is consistent with work done by Steuben. Many of their pieces were unmarked. The bowl is hand blown and the glass has a lead content. It has a beautiful ring to it. The bowl is iridescent and appears the color of an opal. The glass has the feel of satin and is most pleasurable to the touch. The shape of the bowl has a simplistic, art deco feel. This elegant piece is in excellent condition.
