This set of 12 crystal plates was produced in England by Webb around 1900. They are not signed but this is a known pattern Webb used. They measure 9 inches in diameter. The crystal is hand blown and quite substantial in weight. There is an indentation 1 3/4 inches from the rim to capture dressing from over flowing on the table. The entire surface of each plate is deeply hand engraved with an ornate pattern. Forms of plants and foliage, pinecones and flowers, and winding branches are skillfully executed in glass. Workmanship such as this is a lost art. How wonderful it is that the set has survived. Condition: There are minor, shallow scratches on the bottom of some of the plates. Considering their age and the fact that they were used, it is to be expected. There are no chips or repairs.

This pair of crystal candlesticks was produced in Europe or England in the late 19th century. The maker is unknown. They are approximately 10 inches tall and the base has a diameter of 5 inches. The crystal is hand blown so that the candlesticks are hollow. They are hand cut with geometric patterns. The edges are beveled and the contoured shape has cut panels. The color is deep amber. They are tasteful and elegant. Condition: Excellent

This pair of crystal compotes was made in England by Stevens & Williams around 1900. They measure 6 inches tall and the openings have a diameter of 5 3/4 inches. They are hand blown from clear crystal that varies from thicker areas to very thin. This type of crystal is often referred to as “rock crystal.” It imitated the mineral stone used by the Chinese. The bowls are expertly hand engraved and polished with ribbons and wreaths. There is a feather-like pattern at the bottom of the bowl that is thicker and somewhat puffy. Condition: Excellent. How wonderful it is that this delicate pair has survived undamaged to this day.
