This porcelain demitasse cup, saucer and plate was produced in German by Meissen between 1924 and the 1930s. The plate measures 6 1/4 inches in diameter and the saucer is 4 1/4 inches in diameter and 1 inch deep. The cup is 2 inches high with a diameter of 2 1/2 inches. The cup has the traditional pointed edges on the rim and a twisted branch handle. Each piece has sprays of hand painted flowers. They are realistic and very colorful. The borders are trimmed with cobalt blue bands over laid with delicate gilding. The rims and handle are trimmed with gold. Condition: Excellent, first quality, without defects of any kind.

This porcelain and silver tea set was produced in Trenton New Jersey, USA, by Lenox between 1906 and 1930. Some of the pieces are marked with the older Lenox Belleek mark. The pot measures 9 inches from the spout to the handle and is 6 inches tall, including the lid. The pot includes a separate tea strainer which inter locks with the lid. The capacity is 30 ounces. The sugar bowl is 5 inches across the handles and 4 inches tall. The cream pitcher is 4 inches tall and 4 1/2 inches from the handle to the spout. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/4 inches. The cup is 2 inches tall with a diameter of 3 1/4 inches. It holds 4 ounces of tea. The biscuit tray is 8 7/8 inches in diameter. It is 1 1/2 inches high. The porcelain is creamy white with art deco style sterling silver overlay decorations. There are laurel wreathes and squared off line decorations in a clean, elegant fashion. All of the silver is intact and in excellent condition. It appears that the pot, sugar bowl and cream pitcher, biscuit tray and some of the cups and saucers were added at a later time to expand the set. CONDITION: Excellent. This is an assembled set meaning some marks are older and some later. They are all of the same pattern and style. Pd RAT Sell 1795.

This porcelain figural group was produced in Germany by Hutschenreuther in the 1950s. The modeler’s name, K. Tutter, is impressed into the base. The figurine is 7 inches tall and 6 inches wide. Tutter’s work is recognizable by his attention to detail and the sweet faces he gives to his subjects. This pair of parakeets look so adorable together. The yellow parakeet is grooming the blue one. They are so life-like and actually life size. The coloring is brilliant and realistic. They are perched on a tree branch with applied porcelain leaves. This porcelain vase with bronze mounts was produced in France at Sevres in 1921. It is double marked and is authentic. It has an artist’s signature, O. Mancelin. The vase is 4 1/4 inches tall. It has a diameter of 4 inches. The porcelain is fitted with bronze on the mouth and foot. It has a unique, bulbous shape, almost like a gourd. The decoration on the deep cobalt blue ground is a pattern of raised white French enamel with gilded accents. They are stylized with a flower-like form. The decoration is unencumbered but it fulfills its purpose in pleasing the eye. The artisans at Sevres dared to create pieces before their time.

This ceramic wall plaque was produced in France at the Manufacture Nationale de Sevres in 1928. The artist is Adrian August Leduc. His painted signature is on the back of the plaque as well as an impressed mark. It measures 11 ¼ inches in diameter and is 1 ½ inches deep. The design is abstract and high relief. There are rows of white circles with gray accents. There is wonderful texture to the surface. You can interpret them as bubbles, cotton balls, ova, ice or whatever comes to your mind. The border has bands of charcoal gray that are intentionally crackled and mottled. The border frames the plaque with contrast and additional interest. The surface has a shiny glaze, slightly crazed, which is pleasing to the eye. It is complete with a custom made metal frame and hanger made of brass or bronze. It is well suited to hold the weight of this piece. When you concentrate on the elements of its design, it grows on you.

It is a service for 6 with additional pieces. After Dinner Coffee Pot with lid - 8 ¼” high, 6” from spout to handle. Serving tray – 10 5/8” long, 8 ¾” wide and ¾” deep. Tea Caddy with lid - 4” high, 2 ¼” long, and 1 ½” wide. Sugar Bowl with lid - 3 ¼” diameter and 3 ¼” high. Cream Pitcher – 3 1/8” high and 3 ½” from handle to spout. 6 Dessert Plates - 7” diameter. 6 Saucers – 4 7/8” diameter. 6 Demitasse Cups – 2 7/8” diameter and 1 5/8” high. The set is made of the finest quality porcelain produced in the Western hemisphere. The hand painting is bright and colorful in the Japanese Kakiemon style.
