This porcelain vase was produced in England by Royal Doulton in the 1890s. It is signed by the artist Edwin Wood. He specialized in painting flowers and particularly roses. The vase is 8 inches high and 3 inches across the top. It is made of fine bone china. It has a pedestal foot and scrolled handles. The flower painting is exquisitely detailed. The colors are vibrant. A bouquet is in the center of a frame of roses. There is a different bouquet on the other side. Swags of ivy leaves drape down from the shoulder of the vase. The mouth of the vase and pedestal foot have hand gilded details. A single turquoise bead or jewel accents the design on each side. This is a charming, and romantic cabinet piece. Condition: There is some light, clean crazing to the glaze that does not affect the beauty of the piece.

It is 9 1/2 inches tall with a diameter of 3 inches. The porcelain is fine quality with molded details in high relief. There is a medallion in the center of the ewer with a portrait of a young woman. It is framed in elaborate art nouveau style gilding. The gilding is raised and accented with colored enamel beads or jewels. The back of the ewer is also decorated with gilding. The neck and foot of the ewer has additional ornate hand gilding. The handle and rims are trimmed with gold. Condition: Excellent

The cup features a pedestal base and a graceful loop handle. There is a cartouche on the front of the cup containing a hand painted scene of a beautiful woman and cupid with surrounding landscape. The painting is well done with great detail. It is framed with art nouveau style flowers done in raised gold. The pattern is repeated around the saucer. This porcelain pot de crème was produced in Austria at the Royal Vienna Factory before 1820. It has an under glaze blue bee hive mark as well as impressed numbers. It is 3 1/4 inches high including the lid. The finial on the lid is in the shape of a flame. It is decorated with hand painted grape leaves that encircle the lid and the cup. This porcelain tea cup, saucer and dessert plate was produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1898. The date cipher indicates this year. The plate is 6 3/4 inches in diameter. The saucer is 5 3/8 inches in diameter. The cup is 2 1/4 inches tall with a diameter of 3 3/8 inches. The set is made of fine, white bone china that is highly translucent. The ground color is blush, shading from light peach to beige. The hand enameled decoration of chrysanthemums and foliage is done in high relief and enamel coloring. The chrysanthemum blooms are nearly encrusted. It is amazing to run your fingers across them, feeling the petals. The edges of each piece are raised scrolls painted light olive green. These scrolls are highlighted with gold. This pattern was a very successful combination of texture, colors and design. It would be a prized possession for any collector. Condition: There is slight crazing on the cup only seen with magnification.

This porcelain vase was produced in England by Royal Worcester in the 1870s. The date letters in the mark are illegible so it is not possible to specify the exact year. The vase is 7 3/8 inches high. The base measures 5 inches long by 4 5/8 inches wide. The form of this vase is known as “elephant tusk” as it appears to be carved ivory. It also appears to be two separate pieces, the vase on a stand, but is actually one. The vase is made in two layers with the second layer having been cut out. The design of herons surrounded by trees is a creation inspired by the Japanese culture. The birds are hand painted with metallic colors. There are gilded accents and other hand painted details. The base has a wooden effect with molded designs highlighted in gold. This is a marvelous example of Worcester’s Aesthetic design. Condition: Excellent
