This porcelain tea bowl and saucer was produced in England at the Derby Porcelain Works between 1770 and 1784. It has the gilded letter “D” and anchor mark on each piece. The saucer has a diameter of 4 3/4 inches and the cup is 3 inches in diameter and 1 3/4 inches high. The porcelain is molded with ribs making the edges scalloped. The decoration is modest. The borders of the bowl and saucer have a turquoise enamel band. It is also in the well of the saucer. Delicate gilding accents the contours of each piece. The interior of the cup has slight pitting in the glaze common to 18th century porcelain. It is remarkable to think that this tea bowl and saucer has been cherished for over 200 years. Condition: Light wear to gilded trim and slight roughness on the foot of the cup.

This porcelain coffee can shaped cup and saucer were produced in England by Spode in 1812. The design, number 709, is referred to as one of Spode’s “Candlelight” patterns. The Spode museum in Stoke on Trent has a tea set of this pattern on display. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/2 inches and is 1 1/8 inches deep. The cup is 2 1/2 inches high. The ground color is cobalt blue. There are cartouches with brightly hand painted flowers. It has the most elaborate hand gilding with seashells and other ornaments covering the surfaces. The museum display indicates that this was made for “a rich man in his castle”. When you look at the quality of decoration you can understand. Condition: The saucer has light crazing. The set is otherwise in excellent condition.

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Austria by the Franz Dorfl porcelain decorating shop around 1900. The saucer has a diameter of 4 inches and the cup is 2 1/2 inches high. The ground color is deep cobalt blue. It has an expertly hand painted scene of the classical Greek Goddess, Psyche, by a fountain. The set has ornate gilding accented with raised enamel. The rims and handle are richly gilded. This demitasse cup and saucer is a lovely work of art. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain figurine was produced in Denmark by Bing & Grondahl between 1948 and 1951. The base is impressed with the signature of the renowned artist, Dahl Jensen. It has a model number, 1628. The peacock measures 15 inches long and 7 1/2 inches high. The modeling is well done, with excellent detail. The figurine is hand painted in natural colors. His pose displays his regal splendor. Condition: Excellent, first quality.

This porcelain figurine of a pair of falcons was produced in Germany by Karl Ens Volkstedt in the 1950s. It measures 10 1/2 inches high and 8 3/4 inches long. They are well modeled with excellent detail. See how their eyes, beaks and talons are defined. They are hand painted in natural colors. They appear to be a mated pair on the watch for prey. This porcelain figurine was produced in Germany by Rosenthal in the 1950s. It has the artist’s signature, Fritz Heidenreich, impressed into the base. The bird measures 9 5/8 inches high and is 9 1/2 inches long. The bird is modeled with his beautiful tail feathers extended in their natural splendor. The colors are brilliant. He is wonderful to look at from any position. Heidenreich had the ability to bring this exotic bird alive in porcelain. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain figurine was produced in Germany by Rosenthal in the 1950s. It has the artist’s signature, Fritz Heidenreich, impressed into the base. It had a 13 1/2 inch wing span and is 8 1/4 inches high. The figurine is expertly modeled by this highly renowned artist. This drake is hand painted in natural colors. His splendid plumage is finely detailed. The mallard is lifting up out of the water with powerful, swift wings. Heidenreich was able to express this moment of motion with amazing realism. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain vase was produced in Germany by the Donath Drescen Studio in the 1880s. The vase is 9 1/2 inches high and 6 inches across the handles. The handles on this vase are elegant. The vase is expertly hand painted with scenes of lovers in garden landscapes. These scenes are framed by ornate gilded cartouches. There are floral panels around the neck of the vase and to the sides by the handles. The floral areas are overlaid by trellis-like gilding. The decoration is quite elaborate in the style of the Viennese. Condition: There is some slight wear to the trellis gilding on the sides by the handles that is hardly noticeable.

This pair of porcelain vases was produced in Germany by Meissen in 1973. They measure 5 1/4 inches high and have a diameter of 3 1/4 inches. They have a rich cobalt blue ground. The reserves on the front of the vases are expertly hand painted. The sprays of brightly colored flowers are framed in elaborate gilded cartouches. There are other gilded features and trim. This porcelain bell was produced in Germany by Meissen in the 1890s. It has the authentic underglaze crossed swords marking. The bell measures 4 1/4 inches high and has a diameter of 2 3/4 inches. It is hand painted with the Tischenmuster (table pattern) design. The design is an Asian inspiration. The decoration is very colorful and has abundant gilded accents. The bell retains its original wooden clapper and this bell rings with a lovely tone. Condition: Excellent, first quality.

This porcelain platter was produced in France by Haviland & Co Limoges around 1900. The platter has both an underglaze and printed mark from the factory. The diameter of the platter is 12 3/4 inches. It has a beaded gold border. The transfer decoration of large pink roses is set in a burgundy ground. There is ornate gilding accenting the border. This platter is beautiful to display and wonderful to serve with at your table. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain tea caddy was produced in Germany by KPM, Royal Berlin, around 1870. It is unmarked. The porcelain blank features the lid with snowdrops and the bottom has the typical legs that were designed by KPM. The piece is 7 inches high, including the lid. The ground is rich cobalt blue. There is a scenic reserve of a couple in a landscape on the front. The figural painting is high quality and very similar to that of Meissen. The intricate gilding is delicate. This is an exquisite treasure from the past you would be proud to own. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain cup and saucer was produced in France around 1810. There are no markings on either of the pieces. It could have been made by one of the numerous porcelain manufacturers in the Paris vicinity at that period. The saucer has a diameter of 5 inches and the cup is 3 3/8 inches high, excluding the handle. The porcelain is heavy and substantial. The decoration is hand painted. Stylized ornaments, including a cornucopia and swans, decorate the sides of the cup. The central decoration on the cup is a gilded medallion of a lion encircled in a laurel wreath. The gilding is finely etched. The saucer has hand painted instruments and trophy objects. Three quarters of the interior of the cup is gilded. The handle and the rims are trimmed with bright gilding. This cup and saucer is a wonderful example of the French Neo-Classical style. Condition: The well of the saucer has minor wear to the gilding.

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Ludwigsburg in 1770. The Ludwigsburg factory was formed in 1759 under royal patronage of Duke Carl Eugen and it became one of the leading European porcelain manufacturers between the years 1760 and 1775. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/4 inches and is 1 1/4 inches deep. The cup is 2 1/4 inches high. The clays that were available in the area produced a beige rather than white color porcelain. The hand-painted flowers are similar to those of the Meissen factory. This is no surprise since some of the artists had actually worked at Meissen. Burgundy colored enamel accents the handle and trims the rims of each piece. This is a genuine 18th century treasure. Condition: There is slight rubbing to the rim of the cup.

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1878. The date letters in the mark indicate this year. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/4 inches and the cup is 2 1/4 inches high. The saucer is shaped and molded like a lily pad and the cup is the flower. The porcelain is smooth and creamy imitating ivory. The decoration is Japanese inspired. There are hand gilded butterflies, a heron bird, branches and foliage. Three colors of gold are used and it is all embossed so that you can feel the texture. This splendid cup and saucer has unique detail and design you would expect from such a prestigious manufacturer as Royal Worcester. Condition: The handle has a thin line of gilding that has slight wear. There are different colored marks on each piece showing a 2 year difference in production. This is not uncommon for earlier Worcester cups and saucer.

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Copeland & Sons in 1883. The saucer measures 5 3/8 inches square and the cup is 2 inches high. It is made of fine bone china. There is embossed decoration on the cup and the saucer. It has an interesting squared off shape. The decoration is inspired by the Japanese, using traditional coloring in the Imari style. The gilding is elaborate and the decoration is finely hand painted. The style is classic and sophisticated. Condition: Excellent

These 10 porcelain plates were produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1932. They have the date cipher that indicates this year. The plates have a diameter of 9 1/2 inches. They are made of fine bone china and have a slightly scalloped edge. The ground color is cobalt blue with a lacy fern type gilding over it. The centers of each plate have hand paint bouquets of flowers in bright colors. The plates are signed by the Worcester artist, Townsend. No two plates are exactly the same. Condition: On the back edge of one plate there is a shallow chip not seen from the front. All of the other plates are in excellent condition.

They are made of fine bone china and have molded, high relief accents in the porcelain. Each plate has 4 hand painted birds that are named on the back. They are precisely depicted in vivid color with no two alike. The borders are elaborately gilded. These plates are works of art with a wonderful heritage. Condition: Excellent
