These 10 porcelain berry dishes or bowls were produced in France by Haviland & Co. Limoges between 1876 and 1886. There is a double mark indicating this period. The dishes are 4 5/8 inches in diameter and 1 inch deep. The set is decorated in a Japanese inspired transfer print that is hand colored. There are delicate sprays of pastel colored flowers. These are accented by butterflies and Japanese gold and silver balls. The rims are trimmed with an apricot colored border. These would be wonderful for serving raspberries. Condition: Excellent

This set of 10 porcelain bowls and 10 plates was produced in France by Jean Pouyat Limoges in 1914. Only one set is pictured, but the price includes the set of 10 matching bowls and plates. The plates measure 7 1/4 inches and the bowls are 5 inches in diameter and 2 inches high. The naturalistic design is an inspiration of the art nouveau period. A factory transfer of trumpet blossoms and vines spills across the surface of each piece. The soft pink and rose blossoms and light green leaves are all outlined in gold. The rims of the bowls have embossed gilding while the plates have embossed and beaded gold. What a delightful way to serve berries and cake or whatever your heart desires. Condition: Excellent

This 10 piece porcelain game bird set was produced in France by Lazeyras, Rosenfeld & Lehman in the 1920s. Not all the plates are pictured, but the set includes 9 plates and the platter. It is a factory decorated set with under glaze and over glaze marks and a factory artist’s signature. The platter measures 19 inches long, 12 1/2 inches wide and 2 1/4 inches deep. The 9 plates have a diameter of 9 1/4 inches. The rims on the plates are scalloped. The rim of the platter is molded and scalloped. Each piece is hand painted with flying game birds such as pheasants, partridges, and mallards. The rims are trimmed with gold. The set is colorful and very decorative. Condition: Excellent. There is virtually no wear or signs of use.

These 10 porcelain plates were produced in Lorraine, France by Niderviller between 1780 and 1800 under the patronage of Count Custine. They measure 9 1/2 inches in diameter. They have 6 lobes around the rim. They are made of hard paste translucent porcelain. They are decorated in the style that Sevres used. The decoration is beautifully hand painted with clusters of realistic flowers in vibrant colors. There are sprigs and buds scattered around each piece. The rims are trimmed with gold. This set is very rare and hard to find. Condition: There are several manufacturing flaws that are hidden by the little hand painted sprigs. There is some over-painting and restoration to chips on the rims of some of the plates. The gilding on the rims varies from very good to worn. They have minor surface wear from stacking.

This 11 piece dessert plate set was produced in France by Haviland & Co. Limoges between 1876 and 1886. They have double markings indicating this period. The set consists of one serving plate and 10 smaller plates. The large plate is 10 inches across the handles and the small dishes are 7 1/4 inches in diameter. The serving plate has pierced handles. Each piece has an apricot colored band around the rim. The decoration is a Japanese inspired transfer print that is hand colored. There are wispy branches of flowers accented with butterflies and round silver Japanese ornaments. The design is very delicate. Condition: Excellent

This set of 12 plates was produced in France in the mid 19th century. They are marked with the underglaze Sevres markings but were probably made by a Paris decorator. Each plate is artist signed. They are 9 3/8 inches in diameter. They are made of soft paste porcelain. The set is elaborately hand painted. The center of each place has a different Watteau scene. The style of painting is romantic, soft and dreamy. The borders have etched cartouches and gilding. Delicate and colorful flowers fill the reserves. Garlands of tiny roses drape around the borders. Nearly the whole surface of each plate is covered with decoration. These plates show expert artistry and extraordinary beauty. Condition: There are minor surface scratches.

This set of 12 porcelain plates was produced in France by Sevres at the Chateau Des Toulleries In 1844. The set has an under glaze mark and 2 over glaze marks containing the date. The plates measure 9 3/8 inches in diameter. The porcelain is very thin and translucent. They bear the monogram of King Louis Phillipe in gold. The cherubs in the centers and the reserves on the borders are all hand painted. The cherubs on each plate are holding different objects and engaged in different activities. The cartouches around the reserves have ornate hand gilding. There is lacy gilding and gold trim around the rims. The contrast of the gold against the cobalt blue borders is striking. Condition: Excellent

This set of 12 porcelain plates was produced in France by William Guerin Limoges around 1900. The plates measure 11 inches in diameter. They are decorated with opulent raised and beaded gilding. There are tiny pink roses around the center of each plate. The elaborate gilding over the cobalt blue is very dramatic. They will set an elegant table. Condition: Excellent

This set of 12 porcelain dinner plates was produced in France by Charles Ahrenfeldt Limoges around 1900. They were made exclusively for the fine retailer Richard Briggs & Co. of Boston. The plates measure 9 1/8 inches in diameter. The plates are decorated with elaborate raised gilding. Cartouches containing vividly hand painted sprays of flowers decorate the borders. Embossed bands of gold trim the outer rim and the interior of the plates. The bright colors of the flowers and the bright gilding are outstanding on the pure white porcelain. The foot ring on the backs of these plates is painted with gold. This quality workmanship and beauty of design exemplify an era of elegance you will enjoy. Condition: Excellent

These 3 plates were produced in France at a Paris Porcelain manufacturer in the early to mid 19th century. They are unmarked. The plates measure 8 5/8 inches in diameter. The plates have stilt markings on the back, evidence of their early production. Each plate is expertly hand painted realistically with bunches of flowers. The pansies are vivid and perky looking. The lilacs are so real you can almost smell them. The rose is splendid, opening with its myriad petals. Around the borders are panels containing multi colored flowers framed in gold. This has to be a prestigious porcelain manufacturer to have had such expert artisans. Condition: Excellent

These 4 porcelain ramekins with under plates were produced in France by Haviland & Co. Limoges around 1900. The under plates are 4 5/8 inches in diameter and the cups are 3 3/4 inches in diameter. Both pieces have scalloped edges with double gold trim. The cups are molded with ribs giving them a flower shape. Both pieces are decorated with a transfer design of trailing vines and delicate pastel colored flowers. The cups are decorated inside and out. They have the sweetness of spring in their subtle design. Condition: Excellent

These porcelain soup cups and saucers were produced in France by Haviland & Co. Limoges between 1888 and 1896. They were produced especially for the high end retailer Davis, Collamore & Co. of New York. The saucers have a diameter of 5 ½ inches. The cups are 2 ¼ inches high, the opening diameter is 3 2/4 inches and they are 5 ½ inches from handle to handle. The cups have a scalloped pedestal base, are quatrefoil in shape and have molded texture to the porcelain. The saucers have the same features. With all of this, the porcelain itself, is amazingly thin. The lower portion of the cup and inner portion of the saucer have garlands of tiny pink roses around them. The borders are the lovely “celeste blue” which was used by the Sevres factory and Minton. Gold drapery accented with tiny gold flowers divides the blue sections and the white. Delicate gilding trims the inner rim of the cups. The handles and rims are trimmed with gold. This set of Haviland is a special work of art. Condition: Excellent

This set of 6 porcelain demitasse cups and saucers was produced in France by Haviland Limoges around 1910. The saucers are 4 3/8 inches in diameter. The cups are 2 inches tall with a diameter of 2 1/8 inches. Notice the graceful shape of the handle. The decoration is high quality. Borders of raised gilded rosettes encircle each piece. The cup has exquisitely delicate gilding just inside the rim of the cup. Even the foot rings of the cups and saucers are heavily gilded. The Haviland mark is in gold. This set is truly special. Condition: Excellent, without defects of any kind.

This set of 6 porcelain pot de crèmes, or hot chocolate cups, was produced in France before 1870. They are unmarked as much of Paris porcelain is. They are 4 1/2 inches high and have a diameter of 2 3/4 inches. The lids have a flower bud molded into the porcelain which serves as the finial. They are made of fine hard paste porcelain. They are hand painted with tiny flower sprigs and one larger flower on the front of the cup. Each cup has a different flower. There is heavy gold trim and little gilded flowers scattered around each piece. Condition: There is wear to the gilding on some of the cups where the lid sits. There is slight wear on some of the gilded flowers. With Paris porcelain this is often the case. They are in very good condition for their age and it is quite rare to find a matching set of 6.

This set of 8 porcelain plates was produced in England by Minton in 1863. The name Minton is impressed with date ciphers indicating this year. The plates measure 9 ½ inches in diameter. They are made of fine, white bone china. The reticulated borders around the plates are 1 ¾ wide. They are outlined in heavy celeste blue enamel known as French enamel. There are 3 cartouches in the borders containing colorful sprays of hand painted flowers. Similar flower sprays accent the centers of the plates. There are hand gilded accents and they have gilded rims. The process of producing French enamel items was labor intensive and costly. The design was taken from work done at the Royal Sevres Manufacturer using their signature celeste blue color. Condition: There are some minor scratches in the white surface from use. There are no other flaws.

These 8 porcelain chocolate cups and saucer were produced in France at Sevres around 1810. The saucers have a diameter of 4 7/8 “ and are 1 ½” deep. The cup are 2 7/8” high,without the handle, and have a diameter of 3 1/8”. Each cup has a hand painted portrait of a famous French woman, named on the bottom. They have tooled gold frames and lacy gold accents around the edges. The center of the saucers have lacy gold medallions in the wells.There are 4 blue and 4 beige cups and saucers. It is unusual to find a set of matching cups and saucers in recent times. Condition Excellent

This porcelain tea pot was produced in France by Bawo & Dotter Elite Works Limoges in the late 19th century. The pot measures 7 1/2 inches from the handle to the spout and is 4 1/2 inches high. It is made of fine, white hard paste porcelain. It is decorated with factory transfer decoration that is accented with gold. The designs are intricate and resemble tapestry. In addition, there are bands of heavy embossed gold in the decoration. The handle, spout and rims are trimmed with heavy gold. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain bowl was produced inParis, France by Bourdois and Bloch around 1868. Eugene Clauss started this porcelain factory in 1828. The bowl measures 12 1/4” long,8 1/8 inches wide and 3 1/2 inches deep. The porcelain is heavily reticulated and has scalloped edges. It has a pedestal base giving the shape another level. It is elaborately hand decorated inside and outside. There are gilded cartouches in five areas inside and four places on the outside. Colorful sprays of flowers are framed by shiny gilding. The remaining surfaces are covered with tiny flower sprigs, all meticulously hand painted. The design is mesmerizing. The inside rim has a border of fancy scrolled gilding. This is an exciting piece of porcelain you won’t be able to take your eyes off.
