This pair of porcelain vases was produced in France by Paul Blot, Maison Jacquel, at rue del la Pais, Paris. Both have hand painted signatures. They are 7 3/4 inches tall with a diameter of 5 inches at the widest point. The porcelain is fine and translucent. The ground color is creamy beige. The vases are exquisitely hand painted. The front and back of each vase has bouquets of vibrant pink roses. Blossoms are budding and in full bloom. They are accented with blue feather-like plumes and vines. To the sides, there are wreathes of purple violets accompanied by lavender ribbons. Wide bands of gold have fine point line designs in black on the neck and foot of each vase. This splendid pair of vases is a rare find that will add an eye-catching splash of color to any interior. Condition: Excellent, without defects of any kind.

This porcelain chocolate cup and saucer was produced in France by Jean Pouyat Limoges around 1900. It was sold “white ware” to a studio artist for decoration. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/2 inches. The cup is 2 7/8 inches high with a diameter of 2 3/8 inches. The set is made of fine, translucent porcelain. The cup features an ornate handle. The hand painting is beautifully executed. The roses and foliage fill the space on both pieces, with shading and balance. The borders are accented with magenta red and rococo scrolls of pink and gold. The rims and handle are trimmed with gold. Condition: Excellent, without defects of any kind.

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in France by a Paris decorator in the 1870s or earlier. It has a hand painted monogram “AJ” hand painted in gold. The saucer is 5 1/2 inches in diameter. The cup is 2 inches tall with a diameter of 3 1/4 inches. The porcelain it thin and translucent. The cup has a hand painted scene that surrounds the entire surface. An 18th century couple, of noble birth, are holding hands and reading a letter. The painting is soft and dream-like. The surroundings are a wooded landscape opening up to a stream. The saucer has paintings of objects and ornaments, symbolic in nature. One side, a quiver of arrows possibly cupid’s, a nest of eggs, a dove and flowers represent the blossoming love. The other side has an instrument, lute or mandolin, pages of love letters, a harp and tambourine. These objects were used in the pursuit of the loved one. There is delicate gold trim on the rims and handle. This is art, produced by a highly skilled and talented artist. Condition: Excellent, without defects of any kind.

This porcelain chocolate cup and saucer was produced in France by Jean Pouyat Limoges in the 1890s. The porcelain was produced and decorated at the factory. The saucer is 4 7/8 inches in diameter. The cup is 3 inches tall with a diameter of 2 1/4 inches. The ground color is powder blue. Art Nouveau style dandelions are hand painted and hand gilded on each piece. It is richly gilded on the rims and handle. Having been acquainted with Haviland Feu de Four pieces, it is likely that this particular cup and saucer was created with that process after examining the decoration carefully. It does not say that specifically, doing so might have broken patent regulations with Haviland. However, there is gilded writing in French, “Paint et Dore` a la Main,” hand painted and hand gilded. There are two other markings plus painted letters and numbers. This is an above average item produced by Pouyat of rare beauty. Condition: Excellent, without defects of any kind.

This set of 6 porcelain demitasse cups and saucers was produced in France by Haviland Limoges around 1910. The saucers are 4 3/8 inches in diameter. The cups are 2 inches tall with a diameter of 2 1/8 inches. Notice the graceful shape of the handle. The decoration is high quality. Borders of raised gilded rosettes encircle each piece. The cup has exquisitely delicate gilding just inside the rim of the cup. Even the foot rings of the cups and saucers are heavily gilded. The Haviland mark is in gold. This set is truly special. Condition: Excellent, without defects of any kind.

This porcelain oyster plate was produced in France by Haviland & Co. Limoges between 1878 and 1889. It is 8 3/4 inches in diameter. It is molded with 5 wells and is often referred to as “a turkey plate” since the shell configuration resembles a turkey’s tail. The plate is decorated with a factory transfer design of sea creatures and sea weed. The decoration is hand colored. The ground color is ivory. This shape is the one that was used for the “White House China” service for President Hayes.

This porcelain oyster plate was produced in France by Theodore Haviland Limoges around 1895. It has a diameter of 8 1/2 inches. The plate has 5 clam shells and a center compartment for salt. The plate is decorated with a factory transfer design with tiny sea creatures and seaweed. These designs are colored by hand. There is brushed on gilded accents around the shells and on the border. This porcelain tea cup, saucer and dessert plate was produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1898. The date cipher indicates this year. The plate is 6 3/4 inches in diameter. The saucer is 5 3/8 inches in diameter. The cup is 2 1/4 inches tall with a diameter of 3 3/8 inches. The set is made of fine, white bone china that is highly translucent. The ground color is blush, shading from light peach to beige. The hand enameled decoration of chrysanthemums and foliage is done in high relief and enamel coloring. The chrysanthemum blooms are nearly encrusted. It is amazing to run your fingers across them, feeling the petals. The edges of each piece are raised scrolls painted light olive green. These scrolls are highlighted with gold. This pattern was a very successful combination of texture, colors and design. It would be a prized possession for any collector. Condition: There is slight crazing on the cup only seen with magnification.

This porcelain vase was produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1900. The date markings indicate this year. It is noted that this vase has a “leadless glaze” with #2226. The vase is 5 3/4 inches tall. It is 3 1/2 inches in diameter at the widest point. The ground color is cobalt blue. It is hand decorated with raised white enamel. An intricate pattern of chrysanthemums and foliage fill the surface of the front of the vase. There is one blossom on the back. The French enamel has a lacy, ethereal effect, almost like snowflakes. It is interesting to feel the texture of the hand enameling. It took a lot of talent and patience to create this marvelous vase. The foot and rim is trimmed with gold. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain vase was produced in France at the Sevres Manufacture Nationale in 1902. It is double marked with first quality markings and artist signed by Henri-Joseph Lasserre. Lassarre worked for Sevres from 1883 to 1930. The vase is 9 3/4 inches tall. It is 5 inches in diameter at the widest point. Two thirds of the vase is cobalt blue. Baskets of stylized marigold colored flowers, branches of steel blueberries fanning out on gold stems, and garlands of roses and foliage cover the cobalt blue ground. A gold cord with a tassel joins the decoration together. It is a very festive vase with bright colors and bold design. The style is timeless and the quality unsurpassed. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain vase was produced in France by Sevres Manufacture Nationale in 1915. It has the double markings, under glaze and over glaze in first quality. The vase is 12 3/4 inches tall. It is 5 1/2 inches in diameter at the widest point. The vase has a graceful form, with pedestal base and wide opening at the top. It is colored cobalt blue, accented with gilded stars. There is gold trim on the opening and foot. It has a high gloss glaze with a mirror finish. This vase is splendid in its simplicity. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain bowl was produced inParis, France by Bourdois and Bloch around 1868. Eugene Clauss started this porcelain factory in 1828. The bowl measures 12 1/4” long,8 1/8 inches wide and 3 1/2 inches deep. The porcelain is heavily reticulated and has scalloped edges. It has a pedestal base giving the shape another level. It is elaborately hand decorated inside and outside. There are gilded cartouches in five areas inside and four places on the outside. Colorful sprays of flowers are framed by shiny gilding. The remaining surfaces are covered with tiny flower sprigs, all meticulously hand painted. The design is mesmerizing. The inside rim has a border of fancy scrolled gilding. This is an exciting piece of porcelain you won’t be able to take your eyes off.

This porcelain vase with bronze mounts was produced in France at Sevres in 1921. It is double marked and is authentic. It has an artist’s signature, O. Mancelin. The vase is 4 1/4 inches tall. It has a diameter of 4 inches. The porcelain is fitted with bronze on the mouth and foot. It has a unique, bulbous shape, almost like a gourd. The decoration on the deep cobalt blue ground is a pattern of raised white French enamel with gilded accents. They are stylized with a flower-like form. The decoration is unencumbered but it fulfills its purpose in pleasing the eye. The artisans at Sevres dared to create pieces before their time.

This pair of porcelain and ormolu bronze mounts was produced in France in the 1860s or 1870s. They measure 16 inches tall and are 7 1/2 inches across the figural handles. The ground color is celeste blue. The bronze bases are ornate and very Victorian. The lion's paw feet connect with elaborate scrolls. The handles have putti playing musical instruments. Hand painted panels of young lovers strolling in country landscapes are portrayed in fine detail and soft coloring. They are framed in elaborate tooled gold cartouches. The backs of the vases have panels with bouquets of colorful flowers. We are fortunate to be able to offer a matched pair of these wonderful vases. They weigh 8 pounds each unwrapped. More photos available upon request. Condition: The lids are replacements to give each vase a finished look. They are made of enameled metal with bronze finials.

This pair of porcelain vases was produced in France in the late 19th century. They were retailed at Davis & Collamore of New York. They are mounted on bronze bases. The pair measure 9 1/2” tall and are 4 1/2” in diameter at their widest point. The vases are hand painted with Weatteau scenes on the front and landscapes on the back. The painting is finely detailed and brightly colored. There are sprays of flowers on the sides. The neck and bottom have a wine colored border with a fine pattern similar to fish scale. These borders are accented with ornate, raised gilding. It is fortunate that these were preserved as a pair. They will give a lovely touch of France to any interior.
