This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Cauldon around 1900. It was made especially for Davis & Collimore in New York. Both pieces are signed S. Pope for Stephen Pope who lived from 1842 until 1928. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/4 inches and the cup is 2 1/2 inches high. It is made of fine, white bone china. The foot of the cup and the rim of the saucer are reticulated. The entire surface of the cup and most of the saucer are superbly hand painted with realistic flowers. The colors are vibrant and the gilding delicate. It is reminiscent of an English garden. Condition: Excellent
