This porcelain cup, saucer and dessert plate was produced in Germany by the Wilhelm Koch decorating studio around 1920. The set was a special order requested by the customer. The plate has a diameter of 7 1/4”, the saucer is 5 3/4” in diameter and the cup is 2 1/4” high. The cup has a unique shape with 10 panels. The ground color is royal blue in a matte finish. The decorations are hand painted with shiny enamel paint to contrast against the ground color. Couples dressed in 19th century garb are strolling around the porcelain. The set is richly gilded with shiny gold and raised gold beading. This is an extraordinary work of art that was a special order.
