For the set of 12
This set of 12 porcelain service plates was produced in France by Charles Ahrenfeldt Limoges around 1900. The set was made exclusively for the retailer C. Reizenstein of Pittsburgh-Allegheny. The plates measure 10 3/8 inches in diameter. They have a one inch border of deep, cobalt blue that is ornately gilded with raised gold. Additionally, there are two bands of embossed gilding, one on each side of the cobalt boarder. There is a central spray of colorful flowers and a band of flowers encircling it. The flowers in the center contain an artist’s signature. The foot ring on the back of the plate is gilded. The quality of these plates is superb. You can set your table or display them with pride.
