For the Set of 12 Plates

This set of 12 porcelain soup cups and saucers was produced in England by Copeland’s China around 1891. The saucers have a diameter of 5 3/4 inches and the cups are 2 1/2 inches high. They are made of fine, white, bone china. Red bands of enamel are enhanced with raised white enamel beading or jewels. The design on the saucer spreads out around the bottom of the cup like the petals on a flower. Inside the “petals” of red enamel are tiny rows of yellow enamel dots. In combination with the intricate gilding, the effect is of richness and elegance. Condition: Excellent
