This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Chicago, Illinois by the Julius H. Brauer decorating studio around 1910. Brauer painted for Pickard for about four years where he honed his skills. The artist who decorated this cup and saucer was A. Burton. The saucer has a diameter of 4 ¼ inches and the cup is 2 ¼ inches high. The porcelain blank is from William Guerin Limoges. The ground color is cream. The set is expertly hand painted in art nouveau style. The veining in the petals of the poinsettias is beautifully detailed. All of the painting is outlined in gold. There is gold trim on the rims and handle. Condition: Excellent
