This porcelain chocolate cup and saucer was produced in Germany by an unknown Dresden decorator in the 1880s. They decorated a Meissen blank porcelain cup and saucer. The saucer measures 5 inches long, 4 ½ inches wide and 1 ¼ inches deep. The cup is 2 ¾ inches high. The set has a four sided, quatrefoil shape. The decoration is done in Meissen fashion. There are alternating panels of lovers in garden landscapes and panels of flowers. The hand painting is brightly colored and detailed. The panels are separated with bands of elaborate gilding that is also hand applied. The handle on the cup is in the shape of a branch. This set displays beautifully. Condition: Excellent
