This 3 piece porcelain desk set was produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufactory, or KPM, in the 1920s. It has an impressed date marking that is illegible. The set consists of a rectangular tray, an ink blotter and inkwell with insert and lid. The finial on the lid of the ink well is the head of a stylish lady. She has a bit of the “flapper” look with bobbed hair and jewelry. The borders are painted to look like drapes with hanging tassels. It is an intriguing little desk set.
Condition: The tray has a tiny bit of roughness on the edge which may have occurred in the manufacture. It is in excellent condition.
