Set of 6
This set of 6 Haviland Limoges chocolate cups and saucers was produced in France by Haviland & Co. Limoges between 1888 and 1896. They were produced especially for the retailer Wright, Kay & Co. of Detroit. The saucers measure 4 3/4 inches in diameter. The cups are 2 3/4 inches tall with a diameter of 2 1/2 inches. The fine French porcelain is elaborately decorated with a combination of transfer designs and hand gilding. Grecian urns are surrounded by scrolls and pink flowers. There are 4 green panels dividing the decorations. There is lacy gold trim and brushed gilding. The handles are heavily gilded. These cups and saucers are “over the top” ornate. Condition: Very minor gold wear. Barely visible.
