This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Derby 1820. It has a hand painted mark in purple. The saucer is 5 1/8 inches in diameter. The cup is 1 5/8 inches tall with a diameter of 2 7/8 inches. The set is made of fine bone china. There is a group of colorful chickens on the saucer. The cup is painted with water fowl, including a swan. Each scene has landscape and greenery. Butterflies and insects are on the wing. Look inside the cup and there one is. The rims are trimmed with dentil gilding. The split branch handle, often used by Meissen, has gilded accents. The set is an artistic accomplishment by Derby.
