This enameled brass vase was produced in South-Western France in the 1890s and therefore is known as Limoges enamel. This vase is 6 1/2 inches tall with a diameter at the widest point of 2 1/4 inches. The enamel is applied to a brass base. The central portion of the vase has a scene with an elegantly dressed lady surrounded by landscape with a castle, a lake, and swans. The neck and foot of the vase is turquoise in color with pink orchids in art nouveau style. This turquoise enamel is done with the guilloche technique. It radiates light. This is an unusually fine piece with beautiful artistry and style. More photos available upon request. Condition: Excellent, without defects of any kind.
