This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in Germany by the Ambrosius Lamm Dresden Studio in the 1880s. Both pieces are signed with the hand painted lamb marking. The saucer measures 5 5/8 inches in diameter. The cup is 2 1/2 inches tall with a diameter of 3 7/8 inches. The cup features a split branch handle and rococo pedestal base. The ground color is sky blue. The exterior of the cup has a hand painted panoramic scene. Children are playing in the woods. They are painted in fine detail and bright coloring in a wooded landscape. The saucer has elaborate, raised gilding. The gilding is matching on the cup. This is an early Lamm Dresden cup and saucer in the style of Royal Vienna and Meissen, that is very rare.
Condition: Excellent. For accuracy, the cup has 3 minute pits in the glaze inside, The foot of the saucer is rough from the factory. It was made that way.
