This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Coalport in the 1890s.
It was produced especially for the prestigious retailer, Gilman and Collamore of New York. The saucer has a diameter of 3 3/4 inches. The cup is 1 7/8 inches high with a diameter of 1 7/8
inches. The fine, white bone china is covered entirely be gold. There are panels of intricate, embossed patterns alternating with panels of raised turquoise enamel beads or jewels. The beads graduate in size and are separated by tiny raised gold beads. The gold shimmers in light. This is an exceptional example of Coalport’s workmanship and will be a star in any collection.
Condition: 3 tiny beads missing on saucer near well. It is in otherwise excellent condition.
