This pair of porcelain vases was produced in England in the mid 19th century. We believe they were made by Locke Worcester, although there is no marking. They are 7 1/2 inches tall and 4 1/2 inches in diameter at the widest part. The porcelain is molded in high relief, imitating a silver vessel. There are cameos with busts alternating with cartouches containing three dimensional bouquets. The other side has ribbons and butterflies in a floral wreath. The flowers are hand applied in Irish Belleek style. Considering that this pair is probably 150 years old, they are in fantastic condition. There is probably a petal or leaf damaged or missing in a couple of places, but it is minor considering the delicacy of the entire decoration. One of the vases sagged a little in the kiln and is slightly crooked. At that time, it was difficult to control the production as perfectly as we do today with computers. Overall, this pair of vases is in excellent condition. (We had difficulty photographing the exact color of these vases. They are a terra cotta color. The first photo best depicts the color.)
