This porcelain miniature cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Helena Wolfsohn Dresden in the 1880s. The saucer has a diameter of 2 3/4 inches and the cup is 1 1/4 inches high. This cup and saucer is done in the Meissen style with lemon yellow ground and monochrome painting. The cup and saucer have reserves containing cherubs hand painted in puce. Lacy gold borders frame each reserve. The rims of both pieces are trimmed in gold. There is slight thinning of the gilded rim of the saucer, but it is minor. This charming miniature cup and saucer will delight any collector.
