This porcelain serving platter was produced in Germany by Nymphenburg before 1920. It has an impressed shield mark as well as a printed mark. It was decorated in the factory and is first quality. It measures 14 1/4 inches long, 9 3/4 inches wide and is 1 3/4 inches deep. The porcelain is of the finest quality. The border of the platter has a molded basket weave decoration and there are rococo style handles on each end that are pierced. It is hand painted with vivid floral sprays and buds in the style of Meissen and Dresden china. The bright colors and basket weave border give it a country feeling. This platter is in excellent condition with no defects or signs of use.
