This pair of porcelain plates was produced in England by Minton in the mid 19th century. There are no identifying marks, but the style and quality of these plates is comparable to work by Minton. They have a diameter of 9 inches. The porcelain is excellent quality bone china. They have the most beautiful magenta anemones expertly hand painted on one of the plates. I do not know the name of the other flower. The stems and leaves are done in raised gold and silver. Both are on a pink background creating a most striking combination. The rims are trimmed with a dentil gold edging. This beautiful pair of plates is in excellent condition.
