This porcelain demitasse set for 8 was produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1955. The mark contains the date cipher for that year. The set consists of a demitasse pot and 8 cups and saucers. The pot is 8 3/4 inches high and 6 1/2 inches from the spout to the handle. The cup is 2 1/4 inches high and the saucer has a diameter of 4 1/2 inches. The porcelain is bone china with an ivory hue. All of the pieces are fluted. The transfer decoration is taken from early 18th century designs and resembles creamwear. There is gold trim on all of the rims. This is a handsome demitasse service that would be perfect on a silver tray.
Condition: Excellent. We would like to note that there is a tiny spot of roughness on the edge of one saucer due to the manufacturing process.
