This Chinese Yixing GONG GEK marked pottery teapot export to the former Kingdom of 'Siam' Thailand in the early 19th. It has a nice shape & size with a dark earthen brown colored patina couple with a wonderful ordinate bronze handle & lining spout design. The Yixing teapot comes with a nice cover lid with a bronze lining as a finial, it has a traditional hole on the finial as a stopper & release while serving tea. Due to its age & usage the lid was shortened or filed at one point as can be seen on the photo. The lid has a minor chip as can be seen on the inside. Some oxidation can be seen on the bronze handle & liner also on the inside of the teapot. Overall the teapot condition is in excellent condition and signed on the bottom with the traditional manufacture mark.
