This is a rare Japanese Satsuma moriage dragon teapot made during the Meiji Period c19th Century. The Satsuma teapot is elaborately painted with moriage enamel paint through the lid & body. It's designed with scrolls, clouds, flowers, & two moriage fire dragon on each side. The handle is made of a golden with blue highlight dragon. There seems to be a signature on the inside of the lid but unfortunately the characters are either missing or rubbed off. The condition is superb.
