This is an antique Japanese 2 section wedding kimono chest called Kannon Biraki tansu. It measures that 38.5 " tall, 36.5 " wide, 17.5 " deep. The drawer fronts and tansu casing is entirely made of Zelkova wood (Keyaki) while the drawer backs are made of Cryptomeria wood (Suginoki).
