This is an antique pair of Japanese 6 panel screens called Byobu which are folding screens decorated in calligraphy or hand painted designs. This set displays bold hand calligraphic writing that was likely created by a Shodo master monk. The 2 panels on each end are 23.5 " wide while the 4 panels in the middle are 22.675 " wide, 68.25 " tall, 0.75 " deep.

This is a vintage pair of Japanese hand painted folding screens called Byobu each one consisting of two panels. They feature crouching majestic tigers called Tora over a silver paneled surface . It measures 68.5" tall, 34.75" wide, 0.68 " deep. It is signed on the bottom. There are some holes and wear. *This is the size of one panel. Please ask us if you need more photos.
