Rare antique Japanese bronze calligraphy ink pourer with long spout and large oval handle. The lid has a mythical 'shishi' lion on top. The ink pourer has four leaves; each with raised swirls and hearts on a geometrical thunderbolt diaper background pattern. Lovely. c.1880. (7" x 5") (18cm x 13cm). Simply elegant bronze crane candlestand on a base with baby crane and turtle, the auspicious symbols of happiness and long life. C. 1910, the bronze is "aka do" a rich red bronze. Very rare Taisho Period, C.1910 bronze carp garden water spout. The detail on the bronze fish scales and the waves about the tail are exceptional. Outstanding and rare Meiji Period C. 1880 buddhist temple water bowl. Fabulous bronze work with mythical dragon handles and elephant tripod feet legs. Museum quality Edo Period C.1860 zen temple mizubachi. Lost wax cast with a great dragon spout in grand detail and spectacular shishi mythical lion ornament on the top of the lid. The diaper motif on the base is in raised relief and equally spectacular. The spigot on the dragon head is permanent so we are assuming that there was a constant water flow. Superb Edo Period C.1860 bronze incense burner with silver repair on bottom. The incense burner rests on tripod legs with elephant head motif as well as two elephant handles with rings.
