Esoteric Dainichi Nyorai buddha that stands for Vairochana - whom represents the cosmic life that surrounds us like the air we breathe. The proper name is Mahavairochana. His elaborately arranged hair is surmounted by a crown, and he wears jeweled ornaments. The remnants of which we can see on this buddha. He holds the wisdom mudra with the five fingers of the right hand wrapped around the left index finger. The buddha is from the end of the Edo Period C. 1860. The condition is excellent except for the head ornaments which are remnants. (see pictures) Ask for shipping quote. H:about 30cm; W:15cm
