Very rare negoro lacquer vanity mirror from the famed Matsuyama Tansu Store established in Osaka C.1903. This piece was made as a wedding gift. The store label is on the inside of the bottom drawer. Negoro lacquer was a technique developed by monks at a zen temple called Negoro Temple south of Osak in the Edo Period. Vanity is 19" tall and 15" wide. Ask for shipping quote.
