End of the Taisho Period c.1925 fabulous richly patinated bronze flower vase. Called 'Murashido', this technique of creating colorful patterns on the bronze is achieved by dipping the hot bronze over and over in hot oils. Inscripted on the box is "Murashido Rikkyugata" (Rikkyu style) Kabin flower vase. Made for Sadasuke. Foundry mark on the bottom of vase. H:7" by diameter: 11".
