Signed Fukimori C.1950 bronze samurai dancing the popular 'Kuroda-bushi' folk song. First written in C.1596, the legend has it that a samurai in Kyushu, Morita Heibei, was promised one of the second Shogun Hideyoshi's spears if he could drink an exceptionally large bowl of sake. He quaffed it all and danced the 'Kuroda-bushi' with his new spear. 9" tall by 5" wide. Great condition. Ask for shipping quote.
