Wonderful Taisho Period tea ceremony 'mizusashi' tea utensil from the famed Iga ceramic center near Shigaraki, outside of Kyoto. Iga clays are famed for multiple firing possibilities and the glazes that ensue. The green jade-like feldspathic glaze on this piece is called "biidoro" which is unique to Iga.
