Thai Silver Buddha, rendered in incised and hammered sheet silver over wood & clay core, the Buddha seated in padmasana with the hands in the bhumisparsa mudra (earth touching) on a lotus base on top of a raised, platform. The robes, face and base with incised decorations, extended and protruding right ear. The left ear and top usnisa finial are missing, signs of wear and age otherwise fine condition. 3-5/8” High. Japanese carved wood tea tray in the shape of a simple lotus leaf, carved from one solid piece of hardwood containing three large knots covered in a translucent lacquer, the form with edges slightly curved up and two edges of the leaf curled up and over, the leaf having incised veining and gouged texture on the interior and the reverse side flat with some gouges.
