Large Japanese hinged hitsu (kimono storage coffer) woven of bamboo in the Chinese style with broad expanses of woven mats as the siding and the convex lid trimmed in thicker bamboo and fine knotting with a wood base complete with decorative bronze latch, handles and hinges. Lacquered light brown overall with raised gold lacquered decoration on the sides of wisteria blossoms, complete with a copper liner.
