Antique Baluch Saddle Bag Pair as a Pillow, Northeastern Persia. A complete saddle bag with hand-knotted front panels and a kilim flat weave back, stitched closed and stuffed as a pillow. All natural dyes of deep orange and dark blue goat hair wool. The front wool pile panels tightly hand-knotted on an all wool base. Each panel with a field repeat of Kaikalak hexagonal lattice, surrounded by a border of diamond lattice. The saddle is hand-knotted as well. Braid tops, Flat weave cotton back in orange. Label on underside of saddle.
Condition: Excellent overall, ends and edges complete.
