A Small Oriental Rug Fragment, Samarkand, Uzbekistan. A very fine wool pile in Persian knot tightly woven on an all wool base. A leafy floral design with a center medallion of a light blue field and the surround with a beige field. Labels on backside. Condition: Restored, ends with stitched on long cotton fringe and edges wrapped in dark blue wool. Measuring 11.75 in. x 8.5 in. (30 x 21.5cm) 7 oz. (200g.) Circa 1920. Provenance: R. H.
