An Antique Caucasian Armenian Cabistan 5 Star Runner, Russian Empire (1721-1917). A short wool pile in Turkish knot tightly woven on an a wool base. A geometric design consisting of five large cruciform leshgi star medallions on a rust orange field containing numerous additional forms, framed by a major border of cruciform diamonds on a white field.
Condition: Single wrap wool selvedge, one end with flat weave (some weft breaks and unraveling), each end with short fringe, worn patches at the center field, interior minor border and a few medallions, otherwise acceptable condition.
Measuring: varying from 47.5 inches to 49.5 inches in width x 107 in. (4 - 0 x 8 - 11)
