An Antique Caucasian Armenian Cabistan Rug, Russian Empire (1721-1917). A fine short wool pile in Turkish knot tightly hand woven on an a cotton and wool base. A geometric design consisting of three large cruciform octagonal beige medallions on a dark blue field containing numerous additional roundel forms, framed by a major border of feathered cruciform medallions on a white field. The minor borders of a running dog pattern. The top end of which changes color ways to a light blue on a beige ground. Adhesive printed label on backside.
Condition: Triple wrap edges, short fringe ends, signs of fading, wear and use, otherwise fine.
