PlanetGlass.net debuted in 2001 as the first and only website dedicated solely to Mid-20th Century Modernist art glass. With a strong emphasis on Italian glass, PlanetGlass.net also offers fine vintage art glass from Scandinavia and North America, from companies such as Orrefors, Kosta and Blenko. Our glass has been featured on "Martha Stewart Living," in a Lowes commercial directed by Nick Cassavetes, in Leslie Pina’s book "Italian Glass: Century 20," and in "The Los Angeles Times."
PlanetGlass.net is owned and operated by Laura Friedman, who began collecting glass while a Vice President of Development at Paramount Pictures. Laura is currently under contract with Schiffer Press to write three books on 20th Century glass, which are scheduled for release in 2005. She is a member of the Society of Architectural Historians, the Los Angeles Conservancy Modern Committee and the Los Angeles Antiquarian Society. All our items are unconditionally guaranteed, and will be accepted back if you're not happy for any reason (see our shipping & returns section for terms). Although we do our best to describe every item accurately, we are not experts and cannot warrant that our attributions are always correct. Credit card payments are facilitated by Paypal.com. Credit cards are accepted only if items are shipped to confirmed billing addresses. Ordered items will be relisted if funds are not received by us within ten business days. All checks must be drawn on United States banks, and are held for clearance before items are shipped. There will be a $30 charge for any returned checks. We buy glass, including entire collections.
