Small beautiful masterpiece oil on canvas of the French Normandy Region in Winter, circa 1930s measuring 16”x13”
Maggy Monier, 1887-1965 Notable French art-déco painter, Maggy Monier was renowned for her watercolor postcards. She illustrates this edition with six vibrant watercolors on tracing paper, as well as one ornamental, watercolor half-title page. Her imagery and palette echo the orientalist themes present in Baudelaire’s poetry, but she remains in the art-déco style. Source: Vanderbilt University Library
