Japanese black lacquered woven Bamboo Trunk, Meiji period, early 1900's, 11" high, 25" x 15" wide, with large and heavy black iron handles supported by wooden board on both side, paper lining inside and metal hinges on top to open one side of the top cover. This Bamboo Trunk is good to storing Dolls and other necessary light weight items. There are some black lacquer loses on surface.

Japanese Kiri wood two(2) section Tansu, chest on chest, early Meiji period, before 1900, 42" high, 33" wide, 17" deep with 5 graduated size long drawers, and carved and engraved floral shape black iron back plates and iron handles. Back black iron plates all have carved four(4) season motif, plum, bamboo, pine, wheat on carved floral shape back plate with round handles. Back side pine wood split in some areas caused by dryness and old age, shows wear and tear in original condition.

Japanese Cedar and Pine wood Writer's Box with Black Iron handle, hinges, and drawer pulls, Ca. early Meiji period, 19th C., 7" high, 11" deep front to back, 5 1/2" wide. Large open space under the top is for storing Scholar's utensils. Push the small button on the side lock compartment to lift up the top. Two(2) drawers have black iron ring pulls. The condition is good, no damages. The black finish is original.

Japanese mixed wood heavy weight Cyprus, Cedar and Pine wood two(2) section Tansu, chest on chest, Ca. Meiji period, 19th C., 42" high, 34" wide, 17" deep, with original reddish brown finish with heavy black iron round back plates and handles. Upper section with two(2) long graduated size drawers above one(1) long and one(1) short graduated size drawers next to two(2) small drawers on the right side bottom. There are two(2) cracks on the lower long drawer's front about 4" to 6" long. Some Kanji writing on the bottom of the both pieces, and some splits in the back from age and dryness over the years. The condition is heavy original, as is condition.

Two(2) small drawers are lower right side with two(2) long drawers beside, and one(1) long drawer is above in the bottom section, two(2) graduated size long drawers are on top section. There are some split from the age and hole in the back and inside the drawers, condition of wood and black iron hardware are good.

Very large Chinese Blue and White Double Happiness Porcelain Jar and old matching Top, Ca. before 1850's, 17 1/2" high include cover, 9" wide-maximum widest part in the middle, underglaze blue double happiness characters in four(4) areas between sprays of scrolling vines and snow peas decoration. The details of decoration is much finer brush strokes than later pieces made in later part of 1800's or early 1900's. No damages on anywhere even old matching top. It is very hard to find any large pieces of old porcelain without any damages.

Chinese Celadon crackled Stoneware Vase, ca. Ming period 1425-1644, 7" high, 5 1/2" wide-widest part, nicely crackled and shows raised rings like wheel pattern on the entire body by the turning wheel by the artist. Glazed with Celadon color inside the heavy top rim area, and the bottom is unglazed. One side shows darker area caused by the firing with wood burning inside the Dragon shape kiln. Chinese dome top woven Bamboo Basket for food stand on the octagonal shape high foot, Ca. before 1900, 11 1/2" high, 11" diameter top rim with brass hinged round dome top. Two(2) Brass handles on the both sides and Brass lock compartment in front. two(2) brass rings hold the top and bottom together. Low relief Chinese floral design on the lacquered gesso panels on the high foot. Gesso applied on the cloth finish glued together inside the top rim area. The condition is as is found condition, shows wears and separation between woven basket and gesso decorated area.

Chinese 19th Century Famille Verte Porcelain Pillow, Ca. mid to late 1800's, 9 3/4" wide-front, 6" deep, 6 3/8" high-front lower part, with overglaze enamel decorated of the double Peacocks on the mosey rocks draped by Plum tree branches and flowers in the front lower part. Couple Swans with giant Lotus flowers and Pods in the backside of the higher part, and bottom is not decorated, shows orange peel surface. Large open area on one side to grab the pillow with hand, the other side has double coin shape openings decorated with small flowers for air circulation. One(1) corner on the bottom is filled with clay about 1/2" wide and small area was painted over later date. This pillow shows some glaze worn area around the corners.
