Japanese two(2) section Tansu, clothing chest with Japanese Kanji writing on the bottom for both pieces, Ca. Meiji period, before 1900, 38" high, 33" wide, 15" deep, Cedar, Cypress and pine mixed wood, with two(2) long drawers in upper section above two(2) long drawers in the bottom section with round black iron back plates, both pieces have side handles, and old back wooden panels are original. Between the joint is separated on the side panel and one(1) black iron back plate for handle was replaced long time ago.

Japanese Blue and White very large and heavy Porcelain Hibachi, Ca. 1920, 14" high, 20 1/2" diameter-outer top rim, 16" diameter-inside top rim, 13 1/2" high, this is the one of the largest Hibachi of this kind, with underglaze blue mountain with bridge and pine trees, river with floating fish boats, very peaceful beautiful scenery. There are some kiln marks, but no damage or restoration. Please see photos.

Japanese Satsuma Earthenware Saki Pot on three(3) high small feet, Meiji period, signed "Kizan", 2 1/2" high, 5 3/4" wide include spout, women in various activities with children, brilliant fine lines of design in gold and very fine floral design on top of the cover with small round knob. Pair Japanese Nabeshima porcelain large Dishes, impressed mark "Kotobuki(Longevity)" on the bottom, Meiji, before 1920, impressed mark on both dishes, 8 1/4" diameter-top rim, 4 1/4"-bottom rim, 2" high, underglaze blue combed high feet and coin decorated under the top and the top of the dishes are decorated with underglaze blue and overglaze red multiple exact lines looks like bamboo basket interlocking weave pattern. The detail of the lines and interlocking design is done with one hair brush and also blue combed design on the high feet is very high quality brush strokes. The condition is good, no damages, some small scratches on the surface overglaze red design area, please see the enlarged photo.

Japanese Keyaki wood with beautiful bold grain two(2) section Tansu with movable Brass Turtle and Eagle decoration on Black Iron Round back plate with Brass rim, heavy weight, early Meiji period, 1890-1900, 46" high, 48" wide, 17 1/2" deep with two(2) graduated long drawers in upper section above one(1) shorter drawer next to two(2) small secret drawers inside the heavy black iron mounted blind door on the bottom right side. The secondary wood is Cedar and Cypress mixed on the side and inside the drawers. All the black iron lock plates are decorated with Brass Turtle and black iron Eagles with Brass beak, Brass Turtles are swing around to cover the key holes. All the handles and corners are also black iron. Some of the black iron corners on the bottom area shows sign of old age, small pieces are broken off, couple small dents and age wood separation are on the top, otherwise the condition is good.

Japanese Keyaki wood bold and dramatic grain heavy weight two(2) section Tansu, early Meiji period, 1890-1900, 46" high, 48" wide, 17 1/2" deep with two(2) long graduated size drawers on top section, bottom section consisted of one(1) shorter drawer on the left side and heavy black iron mounted blind door on the right lower area, consist of two(2) small secret drawers behind heavily mounted with black iron blind door. Moving Brass Turtle to hide the key holes, and heavy black iron Eagle attached on the shaped back plates and heavy handles on Keyaki wood drawer front, side panels and inside the drawers are mixed with Cedar and Cypress wood. Two(2) heavy black iron handles on both sides to lock two pieces of tansu together. Shows some scratches on wood, small brakes on Eagle's beaks, otherwise whole Tansu is in good condition.

Meiji period 1890's, 9 3/4" high, 3 1/4" diameter-top rim, 3 7/8" diameter-bottom rim, The story telling surroundings, ladies and children are outing in the beautiful garden scenery wearing most beautiful silk Kimonos with finely detailed pattern of silk brocade highlighted in low relief brilliant gold design, most of the gold decorations are done with one(1) hair brush in perfect brush strokes flowing around inside the wide center of the vases, surrounded with four(4) or five(5) floral and geometric pattern of narrow bands painted with very tiny small exact pattern of brush strokes in brilliant gold. Most of the decorations are so tiny smaller than hair line, camera can't captured the very detailed fine designs. Each vase depicting different stories but continues one vase to another vase, ladies and kids are outing in the most beautiful Japanese garden and lake under the red Maple trees and tiny geese are flying far above, and ladies are carrying paper and bamboo made Umbrellas. The condition is near perfect, some flat gold band designs are worn on the bottom, not noticeable unless you put vases upside down.

Japanese Mother of Pearl and Bone inlaid Lacquer Panel of Tea Ceremony, Ca. Meiji period, late 1800's, 26" high, 16 1/4" wide, 3/4" depth, two(2) ladies preparing traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony, silver geometric design border on black Lacquered panel inside black lacquered frame which also shows silver design. There are some small lacquer losses around the frame, shows crack in the wood panel in the back but does not show from the front, inlaid mother of pearl and bone picture is in good condition.
