Pair Chinese Rosewood Display Shelves/Stands, 21" high, 31" wide, 7" deep each, very heavy dense hardwood shelves with rounded corners for the Scholar's display purpose for their precious small objects. Multiple shelves are between 4" to 10" high and 5" to 19" wide. It is very difficult to find a pair in this quality and condition. The weight is heavy and the condition is good.

Pair Japanese most stunning large Satsuma Vases, signed "Kinkosan" in gold, Ca. Meiji period 1890's, 9 3/4" high, 3 1/4" diameter-top rim, 3 7/8" diameter-bottom rim, The story telling surroundings, ladies and children are outing in the beautiful garden scenery wearing most beautiful silk Kimonos with finely detailed pattern of silk brocade highlighted in low relief brilliant gold design, most of the gold decorations are done with one(1) hair brush in perfect brush strokes flowing around inside the wide center of the vases, surrounded with four(4) or five(5) floral and geometric pattern of narrow bands painted with very tiny small exact pattern of brush strokes in brilliant gold. Most of the decorations are so tiny smaller than hair line, camera can't captured the very detailed fine designs. Each vase depicting different stories but continues one vase to another vase, ladies and kids are outing in the most beautiful Japanese garden and lake under the red Maple trees and tiny geese are flying far above, and ladies are carrying paper and bamboo made Umbrellas. The condition is near perfect, some flat gold band designs are worn on the bottom, not noticeable unless you put vases upside down.

Pair Chinese blue and white Canton porcelain Tea Canisters, circa before 1830 and 13 3/4" high-with carved rosewood tops, 12 1/2" high-without tops, 7 1/4" wide square with unglazed flat bottom. This pair of Canton Tea Canisters are very heavy weight with typical Canton decorations of a man on the bridge, sampans in the lake, pavilions with pine and willow trees and two(2) men walking up the hill to the Temple, all the decorations are done in underglaze blue. Two(2) carved rosewood tops(at least 40 years old) came with this pair Canton Canister set. There are few very shallow glaze chips on the corners, about the size of 3/4" to 1/4" wide, and frits on the top rims, very minimum, both rings like bell.

French 18th Century Louise XV period Provincial hand carved dark Oak Cupboard Buffet, 74" high, 55" wide, 20" deep-bottom cupboard section, 12 1/2" deep-top shelving area, still retain old heavy Brass Hinges and black iron original lock mechanism inside. Three(3) shelves behind the decorative racks to hold plates on top, and deep hand carved large Sunflower with vines on the top drop long panel, above large open space with one shelf for storage behind two blind doors, carved with original floral and vines in front of the inset wooden panel and carved rope design on the border. This Cupboard is one(1) piece connected with large screws between top and bottom section, can be separated as two(2) piece for easy moving. Four(4) small legs are Louise XV style connected from the top of the cup board, used one(1) piece of long vertical moulding, and used wooden pegs throughout the cupboard. This is a really nice small size of French Country furniture with original condition. The condition is good, I do not have the original black iron key for bottom cupboard doors.

Pair beautiful rare findings of Korean Scholar Chests "Mungap" with Burl wood inlaid doors and drawers and white Brass "Baektong" lock plates and square handles, 18" high, 32" wide, 13 3/4" deep, three(3) burl wood front drawers above the four(4) removable burl wood frameed panel doors supported by small feet, continue to vertical frame, wrapped with the white brass around the corners, and top shows the dovetail method. All the panel doors are removable through the one door-second from the right-slide and pull through and pushed to the left side one by one to close all four(4) doors, no one can open the doors unless know how to open the whole chest. Only one(1) door-second from right- has the key hole which can be open. The way to open the key hole-only one- is to push the white brass round center of the flower to upward, but none of others open except one(1) door-second from right. Inside the four(4) panel doors, there are four(4) small drawers under the top with small white brass tear drop shape handles. It is very important to lock the documents and papers, plus all the valuable utensils for scholar. The condition is very good, shows the normal age wears, none of the white brass hardwear is missing. This was owned by one of the collectors in DC area for long time.

18th Century Chinese Yongzheng period Famille Rose Porcelain large deep Charger, between 1723-1736, 15 1/4" diameter, 2 1/4" high, with large Peony flowering branches in the center bordered by high wide rim with floral decoration, highlighted with gold. Pair Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain Flask shape or Moon shape Vases, Ca. 1800, 10 1/4" high, 7 1/4" wide-widest part, 2 1/2" wide on the oval shape base, 2 1/8" diameter on the top rim, with applied climbing 3 dimensional Lizard handles on both sides, on top of the overglaze decorated flowers and vines in pink background, with yellow wide band on the top and the bottom with decorated floral vines in overglaze enamel decoration. Inside the large roundel on both side of the vase, overglaze decoration of two(2) Dragons with highlighted in gold chasing the flame in the center in Turquoise color background. All the decorated designs are done in overglazed enamel and the details are very fine and beautifully emphasized the each design. There are two(2) very shallow flake chips on the unglazed bottom rim size of 1/4" long(only reason to notice is lighter white color), and small white chip on the elbow of Lizard on only one(1) of the Lizard handle the size of 3/8" wide. The Gold decoration on the top rim is worn some areas and one(1) tiny bubble is popped long time ago. These pair of Flask shape Famille Rose Porcelain Vases are in beautiful condition and the decorations are finely done with tiny brushes, very difficult to find such a fine quality of old pair of flask shape vases.

French Louise XVI style Gilded Dore Bronze(Ormolu) mounted Mahogany large Desk, Ca. mid 1800's, 29" high, 34" wide, 22" deep, double side partner's desk with original brown Leather on top and Gilded Dore Bronze Hardware on all four(4) sides, use as in the middle of the room. three(3) drawers are only in the front side with Gilded Dore Bronze Lion's head lock plate with original carved gilded Dore Bronze Key(not pictured), all the lock mechanism work properly with this key. All the Drawers are dovetail joint work, secondary wood is Oak. All four(4) legs are tapered round legs wrapped around with Dore Bronze high shoes. The condition is good except top leather part is separated caused by the wood underneath is warp a little. Couple of small pieces of Dore Bronze pieces are broken off around lock plates, shows very old wear and tear on wood but ready to use inside the any room in your house.

Korean dark brown Lacquer table, inlaid with Shark's skin, Shell and inlaid brass wire Phoenix and Dragon design Low Table, 13 1/2" high, 38 1/2" x 27" wide. Top of the table is inlaid design of Four(4) claw Dragon and Phoenix chasing flaming Pearl, most of Dragon is inlaid with Shark"s Skin with twisted wire and Dragon's eyes are inlaid with Mother of Pearl. Shark's skin inlaid design of money purse and antiquities on the shaped apron in various colors. There are some inlaid Chinese Characters on corners of aprons, and continued down to four(4) gracefully curved short legs. Very tight crack on wood -see photos- can be repaired or leave it alone. Some areas used gold powder on lacquer finish. Please request for more photographs. There are very minimum separation between top and side apron in couple corners.

Beautiful Japanese Marquetry inlaid Table, mid 1800's, many different decoration of Marquetry designs are displayed in this three(3) functional table, all in one(1) table, becomes to a Book Stand, a Chess table and a Sewing or Work Table, 33 1/2" high, 13" deep, 35 1/2" wide when it is open, 17 1/2" wide when two(2) leaves are closed on both side, with inlaid bracket support leaves in the back and front on both side. This multiple purpose table comes in two(2) part, with separate stand with curved black lacquered legs connected to the rectangle shape stretcher on the bottom to strengthen the legs. There are two(2) small drawers above one(1) long drawer next to the small door inlaid with Persimmon wood Cherry tree, and mounted with stamped white metal. Inside the door, there are small drawers. There is a pull out board in the bottom of the top piece in front, also inlaid with geometric design of Marquetry work with different kind of wood and shows various colors of the wood and shapes, and back side also inlaid with floral branches, very different design than other side. This pull out board goes into the long horizontal opening in the back and become book stand. If no need for the book stand, then push the board into the long horizontal opening in front side, then become hidden under the top piece. The pull out board in front become extra table top when more space is needed for sewing or other type of work. This table is a multiple purpose table, plus a very beautiful piece of Marquetry furniture in any room setting. There are slight warping on the table top, some wear and tear on wood surface, no missing inlaid piece of woods but one tree branch is missing on the small door on right side..

19th Century Chinese Natural large carved Rock Crystal Guan Yin figure, Ca. mid 1800's, 9 1/2" high, 3 1/2" wide-widest part, 2 1/4" thick, carved out of one(1) almost clear and good quality rock crystal stone, well polished without infusions on her face area, hands and feet. Only rough area with some infusions are on the upper head of her back side mainly, shows darker tiny spots in the stone. The carving is finely done, well polished and the quality of Rock Crystal is really good for a large piece of natural stone. The condition is good except I felt somewhat rough on the tiny area of tip of the one(1) skirt, no cracks or any kind of restorations done for this large natural Rock Crystal Guan Yin..

Very large size of Japanese Arita Porcelain trumpet shape Vase or Urn with pie crust rim, made during later part of 1800's Meiji period in Arita area, 36" high, 12" diameter -top rim, 15" wide-widest measurement, horse man and another man playing musical instrument while they are traveling together in one side with iron red enamel. Beautiful colorful Peacock design between two(2) large panels of the horse and a man playing musical instrument. Around the bottom area, high relief large Peony flowers decorated, all the designs of entire vase was done by overglaze enamel, resting on the raised high rim. If you see some lines in the picture, that is the part of the designs, there are no damages or restorations.

Pair Japanese carved solid Wood Shrine Guardian Lions, 10 1/2" high, 6" wide, 11" deep, wonderfully aged, bleached and weathered being outside above Shrine or Temple heavy door frames. These Guardians also called Protector, or Shishi Dog, one mouth open and another mouth closed, always as a pair, placed on the top of the door hinges or under the eave in front of the Shrine doors to protect and stand Guard outside before entering the Shrine. The details of the carving is bold but very detailed, like fat feet and tummy, fierce eyes, and face expressions are very humorous and cute. The condition is good, one side of ear belongs to the one mouth open is somewhat bruised and missing a little piece of wood, and shows the age and weathered cracks on the both Guardian Dogs.

Decorated with Buddhist symbols on the side and no decoration in the back. Chinese Green Quartz heavy carved Guan Yin figure Lamp and silk shade, Ca. mid 1800's, 32" high-with shade, 18 1/2" high and 4" deep-Guan Yin figure only, beautifully carved and polished Green Quartz Guan Yin is fitted into inside the carved Hardwood stand on top of the polished embossed, impressed and shaped Brass stand-10" x 6" wide. Whole lamp is mounted as one(1) piece, with double lights on top. This old aged carved Guan Yin shows beautiful face and hands, wearing long dress inside the robe, the bottom of the robe is upright on both side, and shows old patina, old grains and infusions in the stone and some surface scratches in the middle section in front but nothing is broken or restored.

Brass Turtle(movable) to hide the key hole and heavy black iron Eagle decorated shaped back plates and handles on Keyaki wood drawer front, side panels and inside the drawers are mixed with Cedar wood and some other secondary wood. Two(2) heavy black iron handles on both sides to lock two pieces of tansu. Shows some scratches with age and small brakes on Eagle's beaks, otherwise whole Tansu is in good condition.

Japanese Keyaki wood front and black iron mounted heavy 2 section Tansu, early Meiji period, 1890-1900, 46" high, 48" wide, 17 1/2" deep with 3 graduated long drawers and one shorter drawer, two small drawers are inside the heavy black iron mounted blind door on the bottom right side. The secondary wood is Cedar or some Pine mixed on the side and inside the drawers. All the black iron lock plates are decorated with Brass Turtle and black iron Eagles with Brass beak, Brass Turtles are swing around to cover the key holes. All the handles and corners are also black iron. Some of the black iron corners on the bottom area shows sign of old age, small pieces are broken off, couple small dents are on the top, otherwise the condition is good.
