Early 18th century large English Gilded on carved Wood over Mantle Mirror, Ca. 1720's, 50" wide, 28" high, large Queen Anne Shell carving on top in the center with three(3) dimentional deep heavy carving on original gilded Wood, continuous design of foliage with flower buds, large leaves and Cartouches between large open spaces between each design, and divided three(3) sections within one heavy carved gold frame. Back board is original wood, original paper was pasted on top of the board still visible. I do not see any restorations done on gold or anywhere else or any missing chips, shows some wears on gold finish, revealing reddish undercoat, show beautiful 18th century patina. Glass looks old, not new but I am not sure that it is 18th century glass. All the carved designs are done in very detailed and fine quality art work.
