Neat and somewhat unusual M.A. Hadley items – a hand soap dispenser and a hand lotion dispenser! Bottles measure approximately 8 ½” tall (at tallest).
When I first purchased this set, I noticed what appeared to be glue residue around the cap of the soap dispenser. I really did not think anything of it because the plastic caps do not screw onto the pottery jars so I assumed it was glued on (the pump part does screw onto the plastic cap).
So then I thought well maybe the jar had been knocked off a vanity and broken at the cap. Perhaps -- if so, that could explain the glue residue and the slightly off-tilt. Then again, the glue residue appears to be epoxy which would be appropriate for use on plastic glued to pottery.
I then put some water in it and it pumped just fine and did not have any leakage around the plastic cap.
Now for my dilemma. I cannot be positive the jar sustained damage and was repaired or if it was just poorly put together. The other cap is nice and straight with no visible glue residue which makes me lean toward a repair. I have priced accordingly.
Still a great gift for the Hadley collector!
