I’ve grouped this lot of vintage linens into one listing/one price! Here’s what is included:
There are 3 vintage napkins – one has an appliquéd pink flower, one has an eyelet design, one is red with green applied crochet flowers.
There is an oval shaped doily that has a linen center and is surrounded with lovely white crochet rounds. It measures 17” x 12 ½”.
There are two scarves. The white one is linen and is accented with purple and lilac color embroidery and crochet. It measures 13 ½” x 12 ½”. The yellow one is linen, accented with embroidered daisies, and measures 12 ¾” x 11”.
Next item is somewhat unusual – it is a white linen pillowcase and is a family remembrance pillowcase. It has family names stitched in white. The names are legible, some more than others. I know nothing about this pillowcase but my observations are these: the names were stitched by one person, the names are placed into groupings – some have two, some have three, some are singles which I assume are immediate family members of that grouping, the stitching was done by a person of some years because it is not fine stitching (sort of the way our handwriting changes as we get older). Pillowcase measures 17” x 17 ¾”. This is a most interesting item and would be a wonderful addition to a vintage linen collection or display.
As usual, all items have been laundered, lightly starched, and ironed by me. I noticed a tiny spot on one of the crochet rounds on the oval shaped doily – I do not pre-soak linens (just don’t have the time) so it may launder out but it is not glaringly obvious or detrimental as is, I’m just very picky.
All items are from a smoke free environment.
